Financial Report
- Balance may be less than last year at this time. Not much activity.
- Need dog show and popcorn money to be combined to get the sum of the boy's
camper-ship accounts.
Fund Raising
- Popcorn sales start on March 22nd, and orders are due by April 21st.
Troop Policies
- Blaine offered to draft a fundraiser policy that rewards Scouts for their
efforts to support the Troop through fundraising. A minimum sales amount for
wreath sales
should be $150 per Scout. If not achieved they will need to be charged $60 for the cost of
registration at the time the troop is re-chartered. The cost to re-charter the
Troop is $450.
Equipment Policy Update
- Blaine will develop the cooking equipment
portion of the policy and Keith will address tents and
tarps
- Blaine's hard drive is out of commission and therfore no activity resulted
- License on the trailer was renewed
- Considering the purchase of:
- Water purifier and stoves. (Mark has offered to look during the Cabela
trip)
- Tarps
- Replace mantels, broken globes...
- Dining fly
- Tables sold by Checker Auto (TM) for a remote cooking station
- 5 gallon cooler and water jugs
- 3 Patrol Cook kits
- Cooking utensils
Meetings
Troop Meetings
- Venturing patrol, had kick-off meeting.
- Need to have a meeting to decide who is in charge and make a list of
ideas.
- Have it as a once-a-month meeting as part of the Troop and have activities
outside the Troop.
- At the TLC/PLC meeting we need to make sure time is scheduled for these
meeting
Outings
- Assign a patrol to each meal and they choose what it is (X patrol decides
breakfast and Y patrol decides lunch). Then split the food up and each patrol
cook their own meals.
- First weekend in May the boys going to Philmont will backpack at Afton
State Park, and the two younger patrols will attend the Camporee
- Need a June activity for the younger patrols, while the older boys are at
Philmont, to help develop leaders in the younger boys
